Christmas Party - 2014

We never have enough food at these parties of ours! NOT!
While waiting on some late-comers, Kay is waxing poetic (sort of) on shingles (the medical ones)!

Crystal, Bea and Kathy are listening attentively to Kay.

Let the games begin! Kathy opened the first gift. Look at that nice bag!

Debbie was so excited she had to keep her eyes closed!
Cathy finally got some new drawers!

Barbara, our non-quilter, got a thread holder. She didn't get to keep it for long!

Kay opened the biggest gift of the night.

Jatana got a really nice mat/ruler bag.

Oops! She didn't get to keep it very long. Cherri took it from her!

Jatana then got a beautiful Christmas wall hanging. Will she get to keep this one?

Poor Cherri lost her mat/ruler bag to Crystal. She was the lucky 3rd person to have it so she got to take it home.

So Cherri opened another gift. Stay tuned . . .

Kathy got some great smelling stuff!!!

This is Jatana's third gift. She got to keep these beautiful Christmas towels.

Sandy was to excited about her gift she was shouting for joy!

Billie was shouting, too. She got a beautiful hand-made star.

Everyone seems to be having a great time.

DeAnn was having so much fun she could hardly contain herself.

Kathy lost her neat bag, but got a beautiful table runner instead.

Darlene got a really nice wrap for our cold winter days.

Barbara lost her thread holder, but look at the gorgeous place mats she got.

What did I tell you? Cherri lost her gift to Bea.

Lara ended up with the nice Christmas wall hanging and Kathy got her bag back.

Kay's big gift was this wonderful centerpiece.

Everyone is comparing their special gifts. What fun.

GOD BLESS US EVERYONE.

Winter Projects

Some of us have been very, very busy this winter. Looks like Billie is ready for Christmas with this stunning Christmas tree quilt!
Crystal continues to quilt like lightening. This is her 2nd quilt this fall and winter. Don't you just love the way her log cabin blocks went together? WOW!
Kathy is making this quilt for her Mom. Her log cabin blocks make her quilt look totally different from Crystal's. Don't you just love those log cabin blocks?

Fall Quilting Marathon - November 11, 2014

Darlene has been very busy this fall. This beautiful log cabin quilt is for a friend of hers.
She also made a pillow case (or pillow slip, Sandy) to match the quilt. How neat!
Billie was one of the first to arrive and the last to leave. She is working on our Christmas project, Prairie Point tree . . . brave woman!
Lara is working on a Texas A&M quilt for her daughter. We hope to see more of Lara in the future.
After finishing her very first quilt a few weeks ago, Crystal is ready to make another one.
Evelyn and Kathy are having a great time visiting.
Cathy's dog tore up the batting on this quilt. Luckily the dog didn't tear up the top!
Rhonda is working on our fall project, the Carpenter's Star. Looks like she is very happy to be here!
Jatana is working on a quilt for her granddaughter. Love the colors!
Darlene has been very busy this fall. She finished the top of a king-sized quilt. She is going to hand quilt this one. Gorgeous!!!
Kay finally finished putting those pesky noses on her dogs. She is very tired of dog noses!!
Cherri came late in the day and stayed until the end. She was checking out her granddaughter's sewing machine.
Kathy has started on her first log cabin quilt. She is making this quilt for her mom.
Crystal is also working on a log cabin quilt. She finished 13 blocks! Great start to a new quilt.

Hooray for Crystal. She has finished her very first quilt top!!!! What an accomplishment and the results are stunning!! Way to go, Crystal.
Vera has a great start on her Carpenter's Star quilt top. Love those colors!
Billie always has a beautiful quilt top. For this one she used scraps her daughter gave her. Quite impressive from a bag of scraps. Don't you love these colors, too?
Kathy has the borders on her quilt top. These colors really POP!!!
Sue's quilt top looks a lot like Christmas! Barbara is always ready to lend a helping hand!

This is a king-sized quilt top Kathy made with the help from her aunt who has since passed away. This quilt is all hand-pieced and hand-quilted. WOW is all I can say!!!
Kay has the borders on her quilt top. Sure looks like Fall to me.
What a spectacular quilt top in black and white. Sandy has just a few more borders to add.
Louise is finished with her quilt top! BEAUTIFUL! These Carpenter's Star quilt tops were easy to do and all turned out to be TOP STARS! What a great fall project!!!!
