May Meeting - 2013

Barbara (one of our non-quilting members) brought this beautiful quilt for 'Show and Tell'. This belonged to her husband's aunt. This quilt was made by mentally handicapped adults many, many years ago. This quilt is hand made! Isn't it just beautiful?
This is another quilt made by the same group of people. It is so soft and the colors are very subtle, but pretty.
Evelyn has just about finished this quilt for her granddaughter's graduation! What a spectacular quilt! Her granddaughter is a very blessed young lady to have such a loving grandmother!
This is the back of Evelyn's quilt. This photo doesn't do it justice. The quilting is fantastic!
Sandy has been busy making quilts for the new baby in her family. How cute! He must be a future cowboy!
This is another quilt for the precious baby. The fabric is so soft and cuddly! On second thought he may be a future football coach!
Cathy and her mother have been working on 'mug rugs' while her mom visits. What a fun project. This is the one Cathy is making for herself.
This is the one her Mom is working on. Both are so bright and colorful, the perfect thing to see first thing in the morning! The completed 'MUG RUGS' are below. WOW!
Carol's is on the left and Cathy's is on the right.

Kay, our resident quilt expert, is trying to explain how to make Cathedral Window blocks! We will see how many of us tackle this hand sewing project. We all agreed they certainly are beautiful!
This is the quilt the group saw being quilted in Brady, before Debbie saw it. She just needs to add the binding. Lots of pretty batiks for this simple stained-glass quilt.
